My wife recently had her Laproscopy at Geelong Hospital Youang Surgery Centre (Ward 2, Room 10) and we are so grateful for the outstanding care she received. Special thanks to Dr. Pia Bernadi and her surgical team for their professionalism and compassion, as well as Nurse TJ and Nurse Sarah for their kindness, patience, and attentive care. They truly went above and beyond to make her recovery comfortable. We also want to thanks the wider hospital staff for their efficiency and support throughout her stay. My father is in the ED, very much unwell,the young nurse XANDER is such a caring,on the go, that is professional in his role,my father must have been blessed to have such a darling of a nurse that knows and loves his work, very much appreciated, keep up the great work,we need more of you... 10🌟's to you Thank you XANDER From ED..... I went to ED with appendicitis. I am giving five stars for the wonderful nursing care I received. The nursing staff, porters etc were just so lovely that the whole experience was positive. I was also glad the food was super healthy (which would have helped my recovery). Thanks lastly to the surgeon and medical experts who saved my life.

I would like to thank a lot the wonderful hospital staff and the postpartum care at this hospital. I was incredibly pleased with the service, especially the maternity ward staff, who worked with passion, friendliness, and support. Especially the midwives Amber and Emily who was with me on delivery day and helped me adjust after❤️❤️❤️ They made birth of my baby smooth and relaxed, and also helped me with the baby and recoverafter the birth.

I had an unexpected stay at UHG recently and I can’t speak highly enough of the care I received at all times. The female emergency doctor whose name I can’t think of was just so on the ball and lovely in trying to help me remain calm. The nurses, doctors, anaesthetists, surgeons and support staff all amazing. Thank you so much for your care. You all do an amazing job and I don’t think we realise how lucky we are to have a free health system.

I would like to leave a heartfelt review for the midwife Coll morrison, who supported me . Coll Morrisonwas absolutely amazing. From the very first moment, it was clear that her approach was different. She was incredibly confident, calm, and professional, with a level of precision and expertise that truly stood out. You can immediately feel her experience—not just in what she does, but in how she does it. She made me feel safe, supported, and genuinely cared for as a patient. The difference I felt while being under her care was huge, and it had a very positive impact . I was honestly so happy and relieved to have her with me throughout the process. Thank you, Coll morrison , for your strength, skill, and compassion. You truly made this experience special for me, and I am very grateful.

I cannot express my gratitude enough to Geelong University Hospital for my stay from 10/2/26 - 17/2/26 after a motorcycle mishap. From the doctors & nurses in casualty to the plastic surgeons, social workers and the wonderful, wonderful nurses on the Patricia Heath Ward 5. At 56yrs old, I had the best treatment I have ever received at a hospital in Australia. These beautiful people went above & beyond to care for me and to make sure my stay was more than comfortable. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart. Xx

When people talk about our hospital system, they often focus on what goes wrong. This is an example of treatment that went exceptionally well. I wanted to take the time to leave a very positive review for University Hospital Geelong, because patients are often far more motivated to write about negative experiences than positive ones, and that certainly isn’t the case here. A special thank you to the Emergency doctors, Jen, Ben, and Tom. Their professionalism, calm manner, and clear communication made a stressful situation far easier to manage. The nursing staff were outstanding. Ash, along with the rest of the nursing team (I wish I could remember everyone’s names), showed genuine care, compassion, and dedication throughout my stay. Importantly, this all took place over a holiday weekend, when I’m sure the demands on staff were significantly higher than usual. Despite this, every interaction was patient-focused, kind, and reassuring. From the moment I was admitted until discharge, I felt completely confident that I was in good hands. Thank you to all staff members — doctors, nurses, and support staff alike. Your hard work, especially during busy periods, does not go unnoticed and is deeply appreciated.
